Friday 19th July 2013
Tomorrow Eckie will visit the school that his favourite charity calls it's own Gift of Happiness school. They've been supporting the children here for many years past. Wat Samakan primary School is in Ayutthaya and on Friday 19th July, Eckie and his team of happy volunteers will give a truck load of goodies and a long awaited performance to cheer-up the children who are struggling through the rainy season right now.
Clown Eckie will lead his volunteers to the school and set-up ready for a big clown show just after the children have had their lunch and attended a short memorial service at the nearby (Wat) Temple.
This show is dedicated to (Clown Eckie) Eddie Haworth's dear friend of more than 30 years who sadly passed away recently following a long illness. Before the memorial show, Eckie, the children, teachers and Monks will dedicate a few moments of reflection and meditation at the temple of Wat Sammakan where the school is located.

A great day of giving at Ban Khlong Ong School in Chon Buri, Thailand, Friday 12th July 2013.
This school is a remote Thai government school in the heart of Chon Buri Province near the Eastern seaboard of Thailand. It took us several hours to drive from Bangkok and find the school which is situated along some very bumpy roads that made good use of Clown Eckie's 4x4 truck! It also involved lots of running around on motorbikes to guide us into the last few kilometres.
We found it in the end and set-up just in-time for the children to settle-down for a great big silly clown show after their lunch and top class ice-cream that was bought by the days sponsor and long time friend (Mr. Neil Johnson) of Clown Eckie and his favourite charity.
The children all come from a local poor community and never get to see such fun. So the show was a great success and all the children had an experience that they will never for get. The teachers enjoyed it so much that one was in tears with laughter by the end of the show. Eckie was invited back there and given great words of thanks for all that he did to make those children very happy during the big day and for giving them life long happy memories.
